Sophie is the OG behind the brand Sofs and in sum, she is an ex ski racer, ex tree planter, psych major, wanderer, full time maker, sober life liver, and luckiest 2 time mom. A self taught graphic/pattern/industrial designer who believes that curiosity is at the essence of what makes us better in all aspects of our lives. At 50, after 2 decades working in higher education, she made the jump to follow her passion and propel Sofs Designs to the next level.
The 'Sofs' part emerged from a mixture of the need to create and the pleasure of making stuff. At Sofs, we believe that creating and making is empowering and in turn love to empower ourselves and others while on journey. You can find the evolution of our adventure in images if you keep scrolling down. You will notice that we have always had a focus on natural, good for the earth, materials that are biodegradable in the most part. We make an effort to do the right thing for our planet and its people.
We are constantly innovating and searching for new ways to have people engage in making stuff. This also means that when you buy stuff from local makers, you help us live a life that is fulfilling, that's huge!

We're talking about Sofs designs

The adventure really started in 2008 when Sofs began making fabric bags..
...then came illustrations. We started making stuff like tshirts, our own fabric collections, greeting cards and etc. That's when we opened our Spoonflower shop.
The love affair with 3D modeling and 3D papercraft has taken Sofs by storm. We eat, dream and we even quit our day job to make and design more papercraft! Loads more pictures on our instagram @sofsdesigns
It felt like a natural expansion when we stared making 3D wood models
in 2018: Sofs WoodLand was born.
